Lois A. Newell Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lois A. Newell of Morris, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sigurd Ostby and Delia Ostby (Voll); her husband Elmer Newell; her son Albert Newell; her grandsons, Albert, Jr. and Josh Newell; and her brothers, Harry Ostby (Kathy) and Dale Ostby (Carol).

She is survived by: her children, Cathy Odell (Dan) of Morris, Pam Jonesen (late Chris) of Morris and Brian Newell (Vicki) of Newark, Illinois; her grandchildren, Nicholas Odell (Tara), Ben Odell, Pete Odell, Nikki Hardecopf (Eric Bebar), Brandon Newell (Missy Pumphrey), Ryan Newell (Katie) and Brianna Koester (Eric); her great grandchildren, Tayton, Kendon, Brayden, Gannon, Bryson, Kaden, Keeli, Colton and Alex; and her siblings-in-law, Loretta Ostby (late Marion) of Marseilles and Richard Newell of Los Angeles, California. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Lois' memory to the family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
