He was predeceased by: his parents, John Allen and Elizabeth Allen (Dahm); and his siblings, Jack, Bob, Bill, Betty and Tom.
He is survived by: his former wife Judy Byrne; his stepson James; his spouse Cub Fan; his brother James Allen (Alice) of Sarasota, FL; his children, John Allen (Julene) of Fair Oaks, IN, Roger Breitwieser (Gail) of Morris and Susan Borgstrom (Mark) of Nokomis, FL.; and also Jack Strobel. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
