It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Mattson of Morris, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 30, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur E. Mattson and Ramona Mattson; his stepmother Erna; his siblings, Alan Mattson and Nancy Mladic; and his brother-in-law Robert Hawkinson (Suzette).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy M. Hawkinson; his sons, John A. Mattson of Oswego and David Mattson (Erin) of Taylor Springs, Illinois; his grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler of Oswego, Anne, Joe, Sally and Mark of Taylor Springs; his brothers, Arthur Mattson (Angie) of Orange and Robert Mattson (late Terry) of Calara, Alabama; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Mladic of Morris, Alice Kramarz (late Edward) of Lockport, Ellen Rossi (James) of Oak Forest and Janet Monahan (Jeffery) of Midlothian. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
