He was predeceased by: his parents, Genevieve Matthews and Rees J. Matthews; and his brother Rees J. Matthews, Jr.. He is survived by: his sisters, Judith A. Winkel (Leo E.) and Denise I. Matthews (Jay Carr); his niece Caira A. Andrjeski; and his great-nephews, Connor and Carter Andrjeski.
