She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard McCormick and Catherine McCormick (Maier); her son David Southcombe; her husband Charles Southcombe; and her brother Donald McCormick.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Southcombe (late Victoria), Judith Schwarz (Peter), Michael Southcombe (Sue) and Sharon Varnas (Paul); her grandchildren, Danette Havard (Mark), Michele Bolan (Bill), Samantha Turner (Sean), Tim Mancini, Melissa Arroyo (Orlando), Brandon Southcombe (Diana), Laura Southcombe (Amy), Elizabeth Majka (Nick), Catherine Varnas (Ivan), Adam Varnas and Alanna Varnas; and her brother Roger McCormick of California.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the U. C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home (301 W Washington St, Morris, IL 60450). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made in Jean's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
