He was predeceased by: his mother Audrey L. McKinney (Richards); his siblings, Jean Hehn, Alene Klinker, Donald Ray McKinney, James McKinney, Richard McKinney and Ronnie McKinney; and his brother-in-law Norman Pacholke.
He is survived by: his father Jeff P. McKinney; his wife Jean K. Pacholke; his children, John McKinney (Renee) of Marseilles, Jackie Diaz (Sergio) of Morris and Jane Montero (Victor) of Morris; his grandchildren, Nikolas McKinney (Tonya), Gabe White (Shaina), Wesley Diaz, Nathan Diaz, Vinny Montero and Jenny Wren (Gary); his great grandchildren, Liberty, River McKinney, Wyatt, Cal White, Finnley and Cooper Wren; his siblings, Dean McKinney (late Rosemary), Lyndell McKinney, Robert McKinney, Russell McKinney and Sharon Gillis (Dan); and his sisters-in-law, Kay Pacholke and Linda McKinney. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Reeves Funeral Home (408 E Washington St, Morris, IL 60450). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Gerald's memory to the First United Methodist Church or to Habitat for Humanity.
