He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Matteson and Lucille Matteson; and his siblings, June Olson and Robert Matteson. He is survived by: his wife Vivian Nadine; his children, Mike Matteson, Steve Matteson (Holly), Sarah Edwards (Randall) and Jean Matteson; his grandchildren, Emily Freeman (Andrew), Marie Matteson, Mathew Schlehuber, Katie Edwards and Neal Edwards; his great grandchild Sylvia Freeman; his sister Janaye Houghton (Robert); and also, Steven Matteson, Ace Hardware, Minooka and Diamond.
Gerry was a consummate blood donor and organizer of blood donations for the American Red Cross.
