He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Dare; his daughter Shirley Cooper; his granddaughter Heather McKee; and his sisters, Emily Marek, Christine Primm, Helen Phillips and Charlotte Welsh.
He is survived by: his children, George Dare, Jr. (Kathy) of Morris, Georgiean Benson of South Wilmington, IL, Beverly McKee of Cape Coral, FL, Betty Booras (William) of Plainfield, IL and Donna Ferrari (Joey) of South Wilmington; his grandchildren, Dawn Cooper, Eric Benson (Brieanne), Jason Benson, Michelle Dare (Jessica Phillips), Bryan Dare, Shane Dare (Addie), Christine Darbin (Rowland), Joel McKee (Kelly), Elsa Booras and Daniel Hill (Brittany); and his son-in-law Dave Cooper of Braidwood. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
