Doug Macdonald Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doug Macdonald of Morris, Illinois, who passed away on March 30, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Macdonald and Natalie Macdonald (Eckland); his parents-in-law, Mary Agnes and Vernon Mason; and his brother John Macdonald.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Macdonald; his sons, Ryan Macdonald (Angela) of Morris and Alec Macdonald (Mikki) of Morris; his grandchildren, Hayden, Landon, Griffin, Harper, Lilly and Theo; his brother Scott Macdonald (Bonnie) of Kingsport, Tennessee; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Mason (Wanda) of Moses Lake, Larry Mason (Judy) of Virginia and Betty Bridges of Sommersworth.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fruland Funeral Home (121 W Jefferson St, Morris, IL 60450). A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
