He was predeceased by: his son David Charles Brandt; his parents, Wilbur Brandt and Vera Brandt (Langworthy); and his brothers, Clifford Brandt (Ruth Ann) and Raymond "Gene" Brandt (Louis).
He is survived by: his wife Lois Olson; his children, Annette Chavez (Richard) of Wilmington, Dawn Krause of Morris and Kevin Brandt (Amy) of Morris; and his brothers, Royal Brandt (Billie Jean) of Morris and Dale Brandt (Song Cha) of Foley, Alabama.. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, whom he adored, ten great grandkids and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
