She was predeceased by: her parents, Hansford Lovejoy and Velary Lovejoy (Ball); and her husband Denny Eplin. She is survived by: her children, Denny Eplin (Tammy) of Jacksonville, Roger Eplin (Tammie) of Mazon, John Eplin (Kimberly) of Morris, Melanie Goode (James) of Morris, Kim Dzurko (Anthony) of Memet, CA, Tammy Small of Morris and Russell Eplin (Jake) of Chicago; and her sister Lou Cummings of Cleveland, Ohio.. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Darlene's name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice.
