He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmanuel Resler and Marian Resler (Berger); his wife Joan; his grandson Bradley Baudino; and his siblings, Ben Resler, Leonard Resler, Emmanuel Resler, Frank Resler, Peter Resler, Elenora Kallis, Barbara Manil, Madeline Schnell, Kay Heinz, Pearl Marcotte and Rosemary Deren.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Baudino (James) of Verona, Christine Schorn (James) of Oak Forest, Joe Resler (Lori) of Morris, Peter Resler (Sarah) of Concord and James Resler of Chicago; his grandchildren, Carrie Sulzberger (Brent), Nicholas Baudino (Kelly), Erica Kuhn (Matt), Joseph Resler (Beth), Rachel Resler, Christian Resler and Benno Resler; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Zack, Jada, Ava and Liam; and his sister Adeline Wingert of Regina. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
