She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruno Shimkus and Frances Shimkus (Manchik); her husband Ronald Kurecki; her son Ronald Kurecki; her grandson Michael McGovern; her son-in-law Jamie Railsback; and her siblings, Larry Reese, Robert Reese, Margaret Reese, Helen Reese, Dorothy Reese, Eugene Shimkus, Ronald Shimkus, Dolores Mikalauskas and Lorayne Hillig.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen McGovern of Seneca, Kristine Grieger (William) of Lockport and Kimberly Leary (Craig) of Morris; her grandchildren, James Railsback Grieger (Amanda Schoenecker), Shannon Bordeaux, Jared Kurecki, Alyssa Kurecki and Bradley Kurecki; her great grandchildren, Michelle, Kendall, Madison, Maya and Lexi; her sisters, Geraldine Wilkison of Manteno and Sandra Waagen (Spencer) of Manteno; her sister-in-law Mary Kurecki of Murphysboro; and her niece Carrie Witherow (Jerry). She is also survived by her daughters and grandson.
