It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold E. Mitchell of Moro, Illinois, born in Berwyn, Illinois, who passed away on January 12, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Mitchell and Irene Mitchell (Graul). He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. VandeRiet; his children, Mary Peterson (Tim Maggart) of Dow, IL and Wayne Mitchell (Lisa) of St. Charles, MO; his grandchildren, Alicia Smith (Josh Carney), Christopher Mitchell, Zack Welborn (Natalie), Eric Peterson and Amanda Mitchell; and his pet Boots. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Tree House Wildlife Center, Integrity Healthcare of Alton, or Shriner's Hospital.
