He is survived by: his wife Diana of Moro; his son Mike Smith (Janette) of Meadowbrook; his grandchildren, John Chappell and Kendall Moss Smith; his sisters, Julie Calvanese (Mark) of Bethalto and Cindy Doak (Kevin) of East Alton; and his nieces and nephews, Stacey Burdick (Travis), Nicole Broyles (Todd), Eric Doak (Jamie), Rachel Doak Jesse Sitze (Brett Fedrick) and Jacob Sitze.
