He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Ebbert and Mable Ebbert (Wishard); his siblings, Cora Belle Wise, Robert Eugene, Edwin Eiler and Warren G. "Doc" Ebbert; and his great-nephews, Nate Ebbert and Kyle Wise.

He is survived by: his brother Richard Ebbert of Montrose; his nieces and nephews, Sherry Weber (Mike), Karen Lowe (John), Steve Ebbert (Brenda), Terry Ebbert (Beverly), Scott Ebbert (Pam) and Todd Ebbert (Celia); and his sister-in-law Betty Ebbert of Wheeler.

In loving memory of Horace, memorials may be made to the Life Center of Cumberland County or the Jasper County Senior Citizens Center.
