We are sad to announce that on June 23, 2024, at the age of 73, Terry R. Stoltey of Monticello, Illinois, born in Champaign, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Terry may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Terry touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Stoltey and Jeanette Stoltey (Deweese); his sister Sharon; and his brother-in-law Ron McGuire. He is survived by : his wife Diane Stoltey of Monticello; and his children, Troy Stoltey of Atwood, Todd Stoltey (Shannon) of Greencastle, IN, Shannon Cape (David) of Alabama and Kimberli Barr of Monticello. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Monticello Christian Church (1699 N State St, Monticello, IL 61856). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to the Monticello Christian Church or the Piatt County Animal Shelter.
