He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Doggett; his siblings, Michael Doggett (Debbie) of Westville, IL and Cheryl Pickett (Bill) of Danville, IL.; his parent Gail Doggett (Atwood); and his daughter Mary Reyes-Rojas.
He is survived by: his close friend Wynoka Ashmore; his children, Elizabeth Day (Tony) of Cayuga, IN, Stephanie Hughes (Woody) of Greenwood, IN and Steven Jr. Doggett (Shanna) of Westville, IL; his stepchildren, Darcy Hinchman (Derek), Dory Furman (Kenneth) and Dena Thomas; his grandchildren, Shelby, Ashlee, Tyler, Ava, Isabella, Julian, Alex, Molly, Maddy, Kaleb, Krista, Nicholas, Drew, Kai, Averi and Sienna; his great grandchildren, Chase, Jayde, Lucas, Jaxson, Owen and Liam; and his brother Rocky Doggett (Jo) of Danville, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Va Chapel. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Danville National Cemetery (1900 E Main St, Danville, IL 61832).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Steve's memory be made to the Westville Area Fire Protection District at 119 W. Williams St. Westville, IL 61883.
