She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Young and Lyla Young; her husband George W. Smith; and her siblings, Linda Kay Young, Mary Hawley, Glen and Dale Young.
She is survived by: her son Rodney Smith (Therese) of Phoenix, AZ; her stepdaughter Anita McMullen (Peter) of Green Valley, AZ; and also Carol Gray (Robin) of Champaign. She is also survived by three step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to Piatt County Nursing Home Foundation or charity of the donor's choice.
