He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Kirchgesner and Elizabeth Rose Harbauer Kirchgesner; his brothers, Jack Kirchgesner and Charlie Kirchgesner; his granddaughter Emily Buch; and his daughter-in-law Kathy Kirchgesner.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa "Joann" Molohon; and his children, Terry Green (Greg) of Athens, Rick Kirchgesner Jr. (Tami) of Springfield, Betty Jones (Bob) of Springfield, Jim Kirchgesner (Debbie) of Springfield, Mary Ellen Buch (David) of Springfield and Margie Gehres (Richard) of Clinton. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Agnes Catholic Church (245 N Amos Ave, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Philomena Catholic Church in Monticello, or St. Agnes Catholic Church.
