He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenix Chapman and Lucy Swango (Nickell). He is survived by: his wife Betty Joyce Stigers; and his children, Gregory L. Swango (Bonnie) of Decatur, IL, Julie L. Jones (Tom) of Decatur, IL and Elaine M. Scott (Gregg) of Forsyth, IL.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-grandchild.
