It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Wavering of Monticello, Illinois, born in Paxton, Illinois, who passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter Kottke and Helene Kottke; her husband Richard Wavering; her children, Susan Kramp Springfield (Nick) and Brian Yates Herrin (Sarai); her grandchildren, Andrea Amberger Carterville, Mark Wavering Champaign (Susan), Laura Bateman Carterville (Eric), Jason Wavering Charleston (Tracy), Matt, Erin, Erica, Andy, Danny, Stephen, Zoe, Michael, Maddox, Caden and Skylar; her brother John Kottke (Elaine); and her brother-in-law Russ Wavering (Lila). She was also cherished by 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
