With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph T. Houska of Monticello, Illinois, who passed away on February 14, 2024 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph T. Houska to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Houska and Florence Houska; and his siblings, Verna Remling, Erna Goedken, Ethel Sissel, Marie Shearer and Peter Houska.

He is survived by: his significant other Evelyn DeTar; his children, Julie Houska of Naperville, IL, Brian Houska (Susan) of Naselle, WA, Jeff Houska (Lacy) of Shelbyville, IL and Steve Houska (Barbara) of Eureka, MO; and his brother Francis Houska. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Hamm-Burke American Legion Post #101 or St. Philomena Catholic Church.
