It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James C. Hamilton of Monticello, Illinois, born in McLeansboro, Illinois, who passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Hamilton and Ruth Burnett. He is survived by: his wife Eloise Hamilton of Monticello; his children, James D. Hamilton (Jen) of Champaign and Karolyn K. Summers (Kenneth Lawrence) of Williamstown, NJ; his grandchildren, Dawn Ziegler (Keith), Amber Mieras, K. Matthew Summers (Denise), Mandy Anuszkiewicz (Chris), Kyle Hamilton (Annie), Neil Hamilton and Lucas White; and his siblings, Dale Burnett, Charles Burnett, Robert Burnett and Norma Font. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
