With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iola M. Tate of Monticello, Illinois, born in Lovington, Illinois, who passed away on March 27, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dial and Dora Dial; her former spouse Lora Edward Petty; her husband John Edward Tate; and her siblings, Elvin Dial, Leona Craig, Iva Wuersch, Lucy Dilley and Floyd Dial.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Polarek (Robert), Rhonda Towner (Steve) and Ed Petty; her sister Peggy Tucker; and her brothers-in-law, Paul Craig and Jim Tate. She is also survived by the children from her two marriages, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Faith In Action of Piatt County, a volunteer caregiving ministry designed to be the helping hands and hearts to the community.
