It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty J. McFarland of Monticello, Illinois, who passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Sermon and Helen Sermon; and her sisters, Wanda and Donna. She is survived by: her children, Chad McFarland of Pekin, Pamela McFarland of Monticello and Scott McFarland of Monticello; and her siblings, Darlene, Johnny, Esther and Vickie. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home (215 E Washington St, Monticello, IL 61856).
