He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Brackett and Cuba Brackett (Hendricks); his son Mark Brackett Sr.; his son-in-law Gus Billos; and his brothers, Claude Jr. (Nola), Richard (Bev) and Donald Brackett.

He is survived by: his wife Sylvia (Anderson); his children, Robert Brackett, Jr. (Patricia), Scott Brackett (Lori), Steve Brackett (Christine), Diana Brackett Billos and Barry Brackett (Anita); and his sister-in-law Beverly Brackett. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
