He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schmidt and Marie Schmidt (Popovich); his siblings, Annie, Marie, Rita, Joseph, Rudy and Tony Seriduc; his former wife Patricia Schmidt (Wilkening); his close friend Mary Mueller; his daughter Angela "Angie" Moore; and his nephew Robert Jordan.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Wilkening; his daughter Rosemary "Rosie" Schmidt (Susan Lurier); his nephew Dale Burchfield (Andrea); his granddaughter Jennifer Lemmons (David Skopec); his great grandchildren, Savannah Lemmons (Chandler Englebrecht) and Madison Lemmons; his niece Kathy Lesnik (Chuck); and also, Thomas Lemmons, Ann, Bennie, Patrick and Kevin. He is also survived by friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dieterle Memorial (1120 S Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
