It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merrick Logan Schlukebir of Montgomery, Illinois, born in Grand Haven, Michigan, who passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 32, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Joel Schlukebir and Alexander Doering "Grandpa Mike"; his uncles, James Maddox and Jeff Baskin; and his cousin Lydia Hatton.

He is survived by: his parents, Joel Schlukebir and Michele Schlukebir (Doering); his wife Lisa Schlukebir (Petrick); his pet VooDoo; his parents-in-law, Dan and Kathleen Petrick (Flaherty); his grandparents, Diane Schlukebir, Bobbi, Jim Maddox and Betty Doering; his siblings, Ethan, Shaskinona Schlukebir (Redden) and Evelyn Schlukebir; his brother-in-law Jackson Schulte; his siblings, Elizabeth Petrick, Wyatt Cornett, Amanda (Petrick) and Norman Reynolds Jr.; his nephews, Matthew and Aaron Reynolds; and his aunts, Carla Hatton, Christine (Steve Stamper) and Cindy Hamilton.
