He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. McCoy and Mary E. McCoy; his children, Norman McCoy and Doris McCoy; and his siblings, Chester, James "Red", Floyd McCoy, Kate Burger, Mag McCoy and Rachel Joy.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his son John McCoy (Kay); his grandchildren, Sara Maxwell (James), Brooke McCoy, Josh Price, Jessica McCoy (Lindsey), Jorden and Taylor McCoy; his great grandchildren, Kayden James and Maya Maxwell; his sister Betty Hartness; and his nephews, Frank McCoy (Cathy) and Tim Joy (Janet). He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
