She was predeceased by: her parents, Lidia Navar and Lucio Navar; her husband Roberto Rodriguez; her grandson Alexander J. Newman; and her siblings, Giodardo, Hortencia, Arturo, Armando and Angeita.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elva Smith (Rhett), Velia Herrera (Lorenzo), Maria Newman (Dennis) and Gloria Oldin (Mark); her grandchildren, Roberto Herrera, Karina Acosta, Alma Guzman, Gabriel Sanchez, Alexander Newman, Danielle Moore, Jacklyn Oldin and Kristen Oldin; her great grandchildren, Caroline, Cristian, Kamila, Diego, Isla Mia, Nora, Hernan, Joaquin, Fabian, Gema, Felix, Sofia and Logan Alexander; and her sister Gudelia.
