He was predeceased by: his parents, James Powell and Bertha Lee Powell (Glass); his wife Corena; and his siblings, Delton, Clara Newton, Inez and Velma.
He is survived by: his daughter Angela Powell-Berger (Jeff); and his brother Billy Joe. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
