She was predeceased by: her father John Marvin Bowles; her husband Gordon A. Leach; her mother Ruth Bowles; her sister Jeanette Kurns (James); and her great grandchild Alec Moore.
She is survived by: her sons, Gordon R. Leach of Aurora, IL and Kerry B. Leach (Janet) of North Aurora, IL; her grandson Thomas Moore (Rhonda); her great grandchildren, Allison and Melissa of Henderson, KY; her granddaughter Joan Webb (Christopher); her great grandchildren, Jackson and Lauren of Batavia, IL; her granddaughter Kara Prefountain (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Noah and Ellie of Geneva, IL; and her niece Kimberly Smith (Russell) of Sugar Grove, IL..
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Dorothy's honor to be made to Jennings Terrace Nursing Home located at 275 S. Lasalle St, Aurora, IL 60505 or Living Hope Church (formerly Union Congregational Church) located at 405 W. State Street in North Aurora, Illinois.
