He was predeceased by: his former wife Elaine Ransford (Hammond); his son David A. Ransford; and his brother Richard Ransford. He is survived by: his spouse Alimma Purev; his children, Laura Sweeny (Dave) and Michael (Carol); and his siblings, Dennis (Pat) and Sharon Holzkoph.

Due to the current pandemic restrictions, a private service will be held with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
