We bid farewell to Cheryl Ann Thompson of Montgomery, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 20, 2024 at the age of 90. Cheryl Ann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hamper and Dorothy Hamper (Head); her husband Dan Thompson; her sons, Baby Boy Camper and Craig Camper; her siblings, Stan Hamper, Janice Mitchell and Keith Hamper; her sister-in-law Jerri Hodson; and her nephews, Aaron Hamper and Brian Mitchell.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Camper (Lori) of Yorkville, IL, Scott Camper (Diane) of Simi Valley, CA, Todd Camper of Breckenridge, CO and Brett Camper of Palm Bay, FL; her stepson Mark Thompson of Plano, IL; her grandchildren, Kyle Camper, Bryanna Camper and Aden Camper; her stepgrandson Erik Hall; her sister-in-law Margaret Hamper; and her nieces, Lori Hicks, Amy Hamper, Denise Knopp and Lyn Hamper.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Healy Chapel (332 W Downer Pl, Aurora, IL 60506). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Lincoln Memorial Park (675 US-30, Oswego, IL 60543).
