It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Joanne Hawkins of Monmouth, Illinois, born in Chariton, Iowa, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland Adams and Neva Mary Adams (Boozell); her husband Roger Hawkins; and her sister-in-law Verla Adams. She is survived by: her children, David Hawkins (Erica) of Abingdon, IL and Linda Jones (Shane) of Monmouth; and her brothers, Donald Adams (Phyllis) of Norwalk, IA, Gene Adams (Tula) of Chariton, IA and Gary Adams of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association and sent to the funeral home.
