She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Walter and Mildred M. Underwood (Fair); her husband Gary L. Barnett; and her brother William H. Underwood. She is survived by: her children, Lynn McVey (Steve) of Monmouth and Doug Barnett (Cindy) of Port Byron, IL; and her grandchildren, Matt McVey (Kaitlin), Hannah McVey, Erin Welker (Brodie) and Jack Barnett.

Memorials may be given to Western Illinois Animal Rescue (WIAR) or the First United Methodist Church of Monmouth and sent to the funeral home.
