He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Wayne and Doris M. Carlson (Shaw). He is survived by: his wife Becky Carlson; his children, Kenny Carlson (Anne) of Ottawa, IL, Dr. Russell Carlson (Erin) of Davenport, IA and Molly McKnight (Nathan) of Davenport, IA; his grandchildren, Harper, Celia, Lucy, Joseph, Channing, Calvin and Decker; his close friend Tilly; and his brothers, Keith Carlson of Waterloo, IA and Andrew Carlson of Little York. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Becky Carlson Scholarship Foundation or the Diabetic Research at University of Iowa (DCCT) and sent to the funeral home.
