George E. Gillen Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward T. Gillen and Kathryn E. Gillen (Gavin); his son Matthew Thomas Gillen (Jevanie) of Monmouth; and his siblings, Katherine Mills, Margaret Sullivan, Mary Weber, Lucille Gillen, Francis Elliott, Betty Hennenfent, William "Bud" Gillen, LeRoy "Roy" Gillen and Richard "Dick" Gillen.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Olin of Teresa's Catholic Church; his children, George Gillen (Laura) of Monmouth, Jim Gillen (Susan) of Greencastle, IN, Sue Lovdahl of Petersburg, IL, Mike Gillen of Monmouth, Katy D'Aprile (Jamie) of Davenport, IA and Patricia Bertelsen (Shane) of Monmouth; his grandchildren, Daniel Gillen (Adrianne), Ben Gillen, Rebecca Tanney (Alex), Grace Gillen, Lucas Gillen, Claire Gillen, Aaron Lovdahl (Audrey), Alex Lovdahl (Sammi), Allison Lovdahl, Connor Gillen (Megan), Sam Gillen, Carly Gillen, Mattison Gillen, Dominick D'Aprile, Gianna D'Aprile, Matthew Bertelsen (Kelsey), Charlie Bertelsen and Reece Bertelsen; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Gillen, Barbara Olin Rosenberry and Mike Hennenfent. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception School and sent to the funeral home.
