He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar O. Raes and Margurite Raes (Vanholderback); his grandson Jeremy Patterson; and his brothers, Ed Raes, Wally Raes and Charlie Raes.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Raes of Monmouth; his children, Laura Main, Paula Bruns, Roger Raes (Jackie), Connie Edwards, Patrick Yerkey (Marsha) and Scotty Goodell (Nicole) of Oquawka, IL; and his brother Albert Raes (Julie) of Hopedale, IL. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Strom Center in Monmouth.
