He is survived by: his children, Christian Hammitt of Monmouth and Kassie Hammitt of Monmouth; his grandchildren, Leticia Hammitt, Rashawn Jones, Micah Jones and Kyro Jones; and his siblings, Donna Hammitt of Galesburg, IL, David Hammitt of Kirkwood, IL and Derick Hammitt of Monmouth. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be given to the Dennis D. Hammitt Memorial Fund and can be sent to the funeral home.
