She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Morris and Ruby Morris (Slaven); her daughter Debra Cooper (Erickson); her sister Alice "Gale" Morris; her son-in-law John Hjeimstad; and her great grandchild Bart Cooper.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Hjelmstad (Erickson) of Sioux Falls, SD, Jeff Schmisek (Sheri) of Bourbonnais, IL and Steve Schmisek (Kristie) of Farmington, MN; and her grandchildren, Jessi Dixon (Cooper), Shannon Cooper, Justin Cooper, Catlin Cooper, Nicolle Hutchinson (John), Kyle Schmisek, Joseph Schmisek, Tyler Schmisek, Travis Schmisek, Brandy Alvarez-Lopez (Darren), Michael Lawrence, Jack Schmisek, Luke Schmisek and Levi Schmisek. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
