Jake D. Munyon Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jake D. Munyon of Momence, Illinois, born in Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on May 9, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William K. Munyon and Sybil Mae Printy Munyon; his brothers, Myron and William D. Munyon; and his grandson Dillon Hearn.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Munyon of Momence, IL.; his children, Lorraine Hunte (Harry) of Momence, IL, Jeannine Munyon (Brian Zelhart) of Momence, IL., Leon Munyon (Kathy) of St. Charles, IL, Myron Munyon (Kimberly) of Papineau, IL and Jaeson Munyon (Bobbie) of Momence, IL.; his sister Myrtle Lovell; his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Munyon of Momence, IL and Judy Martin (Roland) of Naples, FL.; and his close friends, Dave Iten, Frank Raymond and Sam Sadler. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation in support of his loving great granddaughter, Nora and/or the Manteno Veterans Home.
