He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar G. Thomas and Elsie D. Thomas; and his brothers, Labe Simpson, Gobel Simpson, Frank Simpson and Donald Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Simpson (Robert "Bob") of Momence, IL, Paula Stromme of Momence, IL, Shelley Fitzpatrick of Momence, IL, Kathleen Bakhaus (Donald) of Scottsdale, AZ, Sean Simpson (Nicole) of Momence, IL and Kris Madison (Tom) of Momence, IL.; his brother Ray Simpson of Momence, IL.; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Simpson of Bourbonnais and Sharon Simpson of Momence, IL.. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
