He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Mott and Eloise Mott; and his brothers, Kent and Gary. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Slater; his children, Kimberly Carden (Scott) of Sparks, NV, Kari Watson (Randall) of Lincoln, NE and Lancer Mott (Tara) of Farmington, MO; his grandchildren, Ian Watson, Berkeley Mott and Ashton Mott; and his siblings, Dale Mott (Mary) and Kathy Huggins (John).
