With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Ann O'Brien of Moline, Illinois, who passed away on April 11, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Beryl Hicks and Margarite Hicks (Fontenoy). She is survived by: her husband George O'Brien; her children, Patrick O'Brien (Nicole) and Lindsey O'Brien (Rachel Miller); her granddaughter Freya O'Brien; her brother Henry Hicks (Christine); and her nephew Seth Hicks (Robyn).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.
