He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Mendoza and Julia Mendoza (Rivas); his children, Mark Mendoza and Stephanie Mendoza; and his siblings, Frank Mendoza, Joe Mendoza, David Mendoza, Connie Ashby, Beatrice Ybarra and Celia Wilkerson.
He is survived by: his wife Tilli Mendoza (Rivera); his son Jeff Mendoza; his grandchildren, Brent Mendoza, Jacob Mendoza and Katlyn Mendoza (Patrick Henry McGuinn); his great grandchildren, Brayden Mendoza, Faith Mendoza, Merida Mendoza, Christian Mendoza, Luca Pizzo and Nash McGuinn; and his siblings, Tony Mendoza, Richard Mendoza, Lupe Ashby, Margaret Day, Carmen McGuire and Mary Jo Ramirez. He is also survived by many friends, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265).
