In loving memory of Gerald L. Kight of Moline, Illinois, who departed this world on January 17, 2025 at the age of 86. Gerald leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Kight and Icle Kight; and his son-in-law Michael Schaefer. He is survived by: his children, Michael Kight (Deana), Kimberly Schaefer, Lisa Mullen, Laura Tapia (Mark), Lynn Thompson (David) and Cheryl O'Connor (Rick); and his brother Ed Kight (Leslie). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren (and spouses); 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cornerstone Christian Fellowship or any U.S. Veteran charity of choice.
