She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Whitehurst and Anna Holleman Whitehurst; and her husband Charles D. Horton, III. She is survived by: her daughters, Claire (John Flanagan), Bettendorf, Virginia (Joseph Quaglia), Ocean and Kathleen Mahan of Fairfax, VA; her grandchildren, Joseph, Jordan Quaglia, Riley and Bryce Mahan; and her brothers, Lawrence Whitehurst of Williamsburg, VA and Howard Whitehurst of Laurinburg, NC..
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (777 25th Ave, East Moline, IL 61244).
Memorials can be made to the church for a music program or the American Red Cross.
