In the sacred silence of farewell, Dennis is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his mother Beulah M. Schaefer (Tompkins). He is survived by: his wife Margie; his children, Timothy Schaefer (Michelle) of Yorkville, IL, Kelly Sanders (Ryan) and Peter Schaefer; his father Earl Schaefer; his grandchild Brooklynn Schaefer; and his sisters, Pamela Swales (James) of Center Point, IA and Gayla Schaefer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, where Dennis was a member and former elder.
